TaoTronics TT-BR03 Bluetooth Audio Receiver Review
Rating: 4.5/5
What I Like:
- Fantastic media and music audio
- APT-x support with low latency
- Easy to pair and reconnects every time
- Magnetic mounting hardware is solid
- 2.1A port offers USB fast charging
What I Don’t Like:
- Cables are built into the device and are not replaceable
- Muffled call quality
Conclusion: The TaoTronics TT-BR03 is my go-to device for car audio receivers. Not only is the audio quality fantastic for media, but the receiver consistently connects and performs well. While there are some iffy things about the build quality, namely the thin cables, so long as you don’t move it too much the device will last fine. The buttons feel nice and the receiver itself seems well built. Media quality is great, with rich bass and clear highs, especially for APT-x enabled devices. Phone call quality is muffled if the device isn’t mounted close to the top of your dash. I could hear callers fine but their feedback often was “speak up!” and “I can tell you’re on Bluetooth”. They all could understand me, but they mentioned they could tell I was on a car handsfree. The included power adapter has a 1A port for the Bluetooth receiver and a 2.1A port for fast charging phones. I wish it had a third port so I could use it with my dash cam too, but for most people it’ll do the trick. If you’re primarily using your Bluetooth for music and calling is a secondary thing, then the TaoTronics TT-BR03 is one of the best sounding audio receivers I’ve used.
