Easycast OTA M2 Review
Rating: 2/5
Pros:
- Straightforward set up
- Works well at short distances (less than 3 feet)
Cons:
- Weak Wi-Fi is prone to interference
- Any interference causes frame loss, jittering and pixelation
- Weak Wi-Fi makes Youtube videos load far slower than they should
Conclusion: If you’re wondering whether this cheap Miracast adapter is worth purchasing over a Chromecast, let me answer that question for you right now: Nope. Because of its weak wireless, even a hand between the adapter and the output device will cause it to skip, lag and jitter. To make matters worse, loading streaming content such as Netflix or Youtube is slowed to nearly unusable. If you plan on presenting Powerpoints from a short distance, this adapter will do fine, but if you ever plan on consuming media, look elsewhere.
Author’s Note: This device is also known as the EZcast OTA or Mirascreen OTA adapter.
